The Knowledge Center

Knowledge. As Professor Winchester (above) knows, you just can’t have enough of it. Raising and breeding alpacas is like any other endeavor: the more you know, the more likely you are to be successful.

If you’re just getting started in thealpaca business, you probably already know that the learning curve is steep, especially if you don’t have a background in ranching or farming. You probably have a lot of questions. We don’t have all the answers, but we have collected a lot of information since we started our alpaca farm, and we’d like to share it with you. Browse the topics listed at the left; you are sure to see some areas of interest .If you still have questions after reading the sections that interest you, check our Resources section for links to articles, organizations and other sources with more information.

Better yet, plan to attend our basic alpaca seminar, called Alpacas@Altitude, held several times throughout the year. To check the next date, call or email us, or look in The Farm News section of this website on THE FARM landing page.

And if all else fails, call or email us. If we don’t know the answer, we probably know someone who does!
